Wouldn't you know it?

It is a beautiful day here in my world, the sun is shining and the air is crisp. The kids got off to school with hardly any hassles, (aside from some arguing and punching) OK a few situations. No real injuries.

I have been volunteering up at the school every day before and on Tuesdays after until 5pm. My daughter is a safety patrol this year and we have been doing all sorts of things for Safety Patrol so that she can go to Washington in the Spring. It costs $550 per person, so that is a lot of fundraising. We have been making these really cute pencil toppers, key chains, and cell phone charms so far. Before school I sit in a room and sell the pencil toppers for them. It is a lot of fun doing the crafts with them. My daughter's school has been open for 16 years and have only went to Washington 1 time can you believe that? I was like they are going if we have to fund raise every weekend! They get this opportunity once in the fifth grade here, and I don't want her or her friends to miss out.

So the dogs are loving the cool weather, they are all spunky and playful, kinda the same way I feel. I love it when it is a little cool, not really cold. I am so ready for the Holidays, I haven't decided if I will dress up for Halloween this year or not, Hmmm. I'll think on that for awhile and get back to you. Well have a wonderful Thursday, and I have to go write a paper for class tonight, fun fun.

Rewards

So, after 14 years, I returned to school to begin a journey that has proven to be a great reward so far. But, this semester I took a class titled, "Topics in Math" it is insane!!! There aren't any numbers, only symbols, and words that I currently know by other definitions. I will be a more patient person I presume after this class has come to a close. I do enjoy math, however, my sanity may not be able to withstand all this utter confusion.

I have to say one of my favorite rewards is my husband. I grew up in a home where there wasn't a lot of love shown between a husband and wife. My father is now married for the 4th time and he is happy. I am happy for him, however, as a child I was lonely and found happiness in the little details in life. I think that is a gift I have received from God. But, my husband is wonderful. He is soft spoken and smart, he is the thinker and I am the talker. We work well together, he is so smart and thrifty. I thank God for my family, they are my inspiration to be a better person and to do all I can for them and us.


Having children and assisting them in solving their problems has it's many rewards too. My children are so willing to help, except with cleaning their rooms, house chores, and or picking up anything and putting it in its place. Well they are willing to help with cooking, crafts, the neighbors, and anything other than stuff at our house. My reward is when I find a way to get them to help and they think they decide this on their own. They are so funny, I enjoy their laughter and their passionate arguements, even if I don't give in. I still appreciate their insight.. sometimes.

Another reward for me is all of our animals. We have a zoo practically. I am amazed that we can find the time to spend with each one, except the fish. My reward is watching the love in my children's eyes and concern for each one. The concerned look they give if one is sick, or they feel needs extra special attention. We have a new addition to our family, "a baby donkey" we named him Bodi, "Point Break" (great movie) He is so very sweet and I found out today that he likes granola bars!!
